You might find Elena in the colorful vegetable garden preparing beds for the lettuce, egg plants, zucchini, or watering the flowers, some of which she will dry for arrangements for the guest rooms.
She may also receive you by the fireplace in the old kitchen, the heart of the hamlet, and offer you some Chianti wine, some Vin Santo, or some precious limoncello which she makes in the wintertime.

Elena and her daughter Fiorenza take care of the guests, explaining the history of the hamlet and the Chianti region, land of castles. They will draw for each guest a map of the best places to visit, suggesting their favourite restaurants, trattorias and wine-taste tours in the nearby area. Visit Osteria del Castello near Borgo Argenina a restaurant directed by the International chef Seamus de Pentheny OKelly.

And of course, there is Bianca, the receptionist-dog, who will be very glad to guide guests on long walks through the vineyards.

Borgo Argenina is the ideal place, thanks to its location in the heart of the Chianti medieval castles to make daily excursions to the most beautiful places in the provinces of Siena, Arezzo, Florence and Perugia. The lifestyle in the village is simple and timeless, in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature of untouched woods and the peaceful vineyards and olive grooves. A beautiful thermal swimming pool and horseback riding are also easily reachable.
