Venetian and foreign painters have been enchanted by its beauty for decades. The palazzo is an interesting example of the gradual transition to the Gothic. It has a charming water entrance with two mullion windows. It was commissioned by the Priuli family in the 13th century, but the most recent modifications were made by the Dondolo family. The Gran Canal is probably one of the most outstanding examples of Venetian medieval architecture.
