| This Italian villa was restructured from an old farmhouse following the traditional architecture brought back to life by Tuscan and Umbrian artisans. The results are of an exquisite mixture of simplicity and class, warmth and rustic details. The windows framed in grey stone face the water and provide breathtaking views from every floor.
The three-story house, of local pietra serena and chestnut wood, has floors of handmade Umbrian cotto, and all walls are hand painted with natural traditional colors. On the ground level, one finds a spacious living room livened by a fireplace, TV with videotape and cable, a study room and a large dining room. The kitchen is made up of cherry wood and antique hand painted tiles, which comes complete with two dishwashers, a large refrigerator and freezer. An adjacent room to the kitchen houses a spacious storage room as well as a washer and a dryer. Under the staircase, which leads to the first floor, you will find a guest bathroom. On the first level, there are 5 suites (3 bathtubs and 2 showers) each singularly decorated and hand painted with colors that bring out the natural grace of lake Trasimeno and the surrounding olive groves. Four of the rooms have king size beds and one has two single beds. Here one also finds a cozy living area heated by an old Swedish stove in the winter which opens to a panoramic veranda. On the second level, the warm mansard hosts two guest rooms with a bathroom, all paved in wood. The adjacent room is a spacious area designated to reading, relaxing and playing. It is simply furnished with cushions and a small billiard table. |
